The Skipjack is a iconic oyster boat that has worked the waters of the Chesapeake Bay for centuries. Years of wear and tear have taken their toll on these classic wooden boats, eventually being replaced by smaller and more efficient workboats. A handful of survivors, part of the last sailing work fleet in North America, are still able to harvest the bounty of the bay. Sustainable management of the states oyster fishery has left a robust population in what is one of the last wild fisheries in the county. Captain Bunky Chance's brings a superior wild oyster to the plate along with a piece of living Chesapeake history.
